Our regional hubs are priority areas where thematic knowledge is applied and contextualized. They also feed into the priorities for thematic work, ensuring that research and knowledge production is mainly led by countries.

The regional hubs are primarily aimed at achieving the following objectives:

  • Assessing individual and regional Ministries’ of Finance capacity creation needs and priorities for policy design and peer-to-peer exchange;

  • Identify and engaging with local knowledge and advocacy partners to implement C3A activities, including developing local knowledge and analysis tools;

  • Facilitating and delivering capacity creation and peer-to-peer exchange between Ministries of Finance in the region and with other regional hubs, in collaboration with thematic hubs.

Our work in regional hubs is typically co-hosted with one or several trusted regional institutions which generates high-quality, recognized knowledge on the economics of climate change in the region, and has established relationships with Ministries of Finance.
