Looking Back at 2024: A Year of Progress and Resilience
As we step into 2025, we take a moment to reflect on the significant strides made in 2024. This year has been a pivotal one for C3A, marked by both new partnerships and impactful achievements across the globe to bridge the gap between science and policy on climate and nature-related issues.
In 2024, C3A organized over 30 events worldwide, bringing together experts, policymakers, and local communities to discuss and address the urgent climate challenges we all face. These events spanned more than 20 countries, ensuring that our work reached a broad and diverse range of stakeholders, from governments to grassroots organizations.
Our network also expanded in 2024 with the introduction of new high-level professionals, including researchers, climate experts, and economists, who brought specialized knowledge and invaluable expertise to this dialog with Ministries of Finance. With their contributions, we were able to enhance our climate action initiatives and provide even more tailored, evidence-based support to the countries and communities we work with.
Additionally, C3A continued to focus on strengthening climate adaptation strategies in regions highly vulnerable to climate change. With our programs reaching over 40 countries, we made significant progress in integrating climate resilience into national development plans and local governance frameworks.
One of the key highlights of 2024 was our First C3A Annual Symposium, a knowledge-sharing platform which facilitated hundreds of exchanges of best practices and lessons learned with more than 150 participants from all over the world. This platform has proven invaluable in building a global network of climate action professionals and stakeholders, fostering collaboration across regions and both policymakers and experts and academics.
These accomplishments represent just a glimpse of what we have achieved together with our partners. However, as we look toward the future, the work is far from complete. The challenges ahead in 2025 are as urgent as ever, and we are committed to continuing our efforts with even greater resolve.
