The thematic hubs are responsible for achieving the following objectives:

• Building respective work programs for peer-to-peer exchange, technical capacity-building, and knowledge retention which enable learning between countries and from academia – based on aggregated country and regional priorities.
• Engaging with partners with specific technical expertise to co-deliver workshops, trainings and research on these topics. 
• Catalysing, coordinating and delivering relevant new research, for example applying analytical tools and models to specific policy questions, often in collaboration with regional hubs.  

To achieve these objectives, the Thematic Hub relies on the support by the Knowledge Network, which aims to bridge the gap on specific themes that fit the scope of Finance Ministries.
